The command does not enjoin us to forgive our brother, but to be forgiven by him. CONSTANT PRAYER You regret that your prayer is not unceasing, that you are not able to make verbal prayer constantly ?
Constant verbal prayer is not the priority. What is required is constant aliveness to God-- an aliveness present when you talk, read, watch or examine something. When with love we worship Him in spirit and truth we participate in the Triune discourse. God is good. He does good. He is loveable. He is loved.
We know and appreciate His goodness. We love the loveable God. Our knoledge and love of God is more than cerebral. The Trinity is hypostatically present in our community and our knowing and loving God is a participation in the life of the Triune community of The Father, Son and Holy Spirit..............which is good. |

The goal of contemplative prayer is to enter, through faith, into the intense circuit of Love that unites the persons of the Blessed Trinity. Prayer makes the believer enter into the mystery of the circumincession of the Divine Persons.
Mental prayer opens onto the trinitarian communion, the presence of God in us. If we can seek to abide in God, it is because he first wanted to abide in us. |
