In Pauls accounts of his intercessions and thanksgivings the words "always" and
"without ceasing" recur in Rom 1:9 1Thes1:2 2nd Thes 1:11 and 2:13 Phil 1:3 Col 1:3 2nd Tim 1:3 and in 1Col 1:9 we read "We do not cease to pray for you". He admonishes his readers to persist in prayer in the same way. |

The Practice of the Presence of GodGod is all about us. He is present in everything we see and touch. St Paul told the Athenians "in Him we live and move and have our being".

One can practice the presence of God everywhere. The whole of life contains opportunities to see Christ in people and situations In our growing consciousness of divine activity and presence in everyday life we acknowledge and respond in silent prayer.. |

prayer pauses ! ;- like waiting for W.D.40 to be affective on your car engine and make it start, waiting ( with the sound turned off ) for the news to begin on T.V.,
while dusting, while vacuming , while watering plants, while filling buckets of water, waiting for lifts, or standing in lifts ( elevators ) and, standing in queues. We can use brief pauses to help us move towards a more reflective life. |
